Luke Bunch, PT, DPT, OCS, SCS is a dual board certified specialist in Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy who has dedicated his career to advancing the care of athletes with ACL injuries. Early in his career, he recognized the striking gap between how common ACL injuries and surgeries are, particularly among young athletes, and how often patients fail to achieve the outcomes they expect after treatment. Seeing the long term physical, psychological, and performance consequences that can follow an ACL injury motivated him to focus his career on improving outcomes and helping athletes return to the activities they love with confidence.
Luke serves as the Coordinator of the ACL Center of Excellence at Ochsner Health in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he specializes in ACL rehabilitation, return to sport testing, and the management of complex athletic knee injuries. His clinical practice centers on guiding athletes through every stage of recovery, from the initial injury and surgical decision making process through rehabilitation, performance restoration, and return to competition. He combines evidence based rehabilitation, objective performance testing, and individualized treatment strategies to help athletes maximize their recovery and reduce their risk of future injury.
In addition to patient care, Luke is actively involved in research, clinician education, and mentorship. His work focuses on improving rehabilitation outcomes, advancing return to sport decision making, and translating emerging evidence into practical clinical solutions. Through his clinical practice, research efforts, and educational contributions, Luke’s mission is to raise the standard of ACL care and help athletes, families, and healthcare professionals achieve better outcomes after one of sports medicine’s most challenging injuries.
